Medium-density fiberboard is the
substrate of choice for wood powder coating. MDF has low
porosity and a homogeneous surface that readily accepts the
powder. The moisture content of MDF is an ideal and consistent
electrical conductor, a critical component in the wood
powder-coating process. Premium quality MDF is stronger than
particleboard and other types of substrates; CARB Phase I &
CARB Phase II, no added urea formaldehyde (NAUF) MDF is available, as is
MDF board containing 100 percent
recycled content
